POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- A bachelor’s degree in Art, Business Administration, Computer Science, Education, Engineering, Foreign Language, History, International Relations, International Affairs, Literature, Liberal Arts, Political Science, Psychology, Social Science or Sociology is required.

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
The incumbent is a senior LE Staff at a Bureau of Consular Affairs Top 10 Post. S/he is the unit supervisor responsible for providing substantive expertise, supervision, guidance, and training to a team of at least two LE Staff that process all categories of passport and citizenship cases. This position is regarded as an authority on complex citizenship and passport casework and incumbent oversees the Special Issuance Agency (SIA) program of diplomatic and official passports for employees of the Mission. S/he serves as a point of contact with U.S. law enforcement officers, foreign government contacts, and NGOs on citizenship and passport related matters. Additionally, this position is responsible for monitoring the consistency and quality of the unit’s day-to-day work and ensuring that it complies with consular section quality standards for Mission Nigeria.

- Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.

- Currently employed U.S. Citizen EFMs who hold a Family Member Appointment (FMA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.
