The Management of Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education, Kumbotso, Kano State, has terminate the appointment of a philandering lecturer, after he was found guilty of harassing a female student of the varsity.
Our correspondent learnt that the College Academic Board also approved the expulsion of the female student for being found wanting and engaging herself in an immoral act in her matrimonial home with the lecturer.
In a letter dated June 19, 2015 and signed by the assistant registrar of the school, Mallam Shuaibu Sabo, the lecturer was also accused of trespassing in the student’s matrimonial home.
The letter further explained that the answer to the query issued to the lecturer, and the subsequent investigation conducted by the Staff Disciplinary Advisory Committee of the college, indicated that he could not exculpate himself from the charges leveled against him.
The letter reads in part: “Therefore, in accordance with the provision of sections 04306 (iii) and (x) and 04406 of the revised 2014 civil service rules of Kano State, with the recommendations of the College Disciplinary Advisory Committee, the lecturer is dismissed with immediate effect.”
