VACANCIES FOR EDUCATIONIST

Due to the positive growth in student numbers and the development of the school in the various Faculties, we hereby invite applications forthe following positions: For each of these positions, the following requirements must be met:
  • Spoken and written English must be of a high standard .
  • Experience as a teacher in a British National Curriculum School (This applies to all academic positions)
  • Willingness to participate in Co-Curricular activities. (Academic Positions)

DIRECTOR OF PASTORAL AFFAIRS

 
Qualifications & Specifications
  • Minimum of M.Ed, PGCE and First Degree in Education from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant senior level professional experience in education & student affairs.
  • Proven strong managerial and collegial leadership in student's affairs or related academic area.
  • Demonstrated positive leadership in developing collaborative relationships with students, parents and all stake holders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of administrative support areas including fiscal, human resources management, and information technology.
  • Familiarity with academic program development and administration.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the goals and philosophy of students and educational programs.
  • Excellent leadership, managerial skills and the capacity to supervise and lead student volunteers and charity programms.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skill in conceptualizing creative solutions, documenting them, and presenting them to the Grange Executive Team (of which the successful candidate will be a member) and the Governing Council.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A clear understanding of child protection interventions.
  • A proven appreciation ofthe policy context relating to various student support requirements.

HEAD OF MUSIC

 
Qualifications & Specifications
  • Graduate with Qualified Teacher Status with major in Music.
  • Experience of middle leadership in a British Curriculum school.
  • Knowledge of relevant curriculum areas in different Key Stages, including a sound
  • understanding of assessment and monitoring.
  • Ability to play various musical, orchestral instruments and to sing
  • Knowledge of child development and especially of characteristics of children in the various age groups.
  • Knowledge of the prescribed curriculum, current technology and educational research especially in the field of music education
  • Knowledge of learning styles and skills in using varied teaching methods to address students learning styles.
  • A proven track record of excellent outcomes for students.
  • Strong communication skills and the abilityto relate to people at all levels.
  • An ability to inspire and maintain appropriate student supervision so that students have a safe and orderly environment in which to learn.
  • A sound understanding ofthe use of data in assessment, target setting and progress of pupils.
  • Experience of supporting strategies to maxi mise pupil achievement throughout school.

DEPUTY HEAD OF FACULTY - COMMUNICATION (English)

 
Qualifications & Specifications
  • Good quality Honours degree, PGCE, or equivalent in Secondary Education
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience Proven success of teaching English at KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4
  • Leadership and management experience within a faculty of Communication/English department and proof ofimpact
  • Knowledge I Skills Strong subject knowledge
  • An understanding of what makes outstanding teaching and learning and the ability to put this into practice.
  • An ability to use data to monitor students' progress and inform curriculum planning.
  • An understanding of best practice when quality assuring the work of the department and faculty.
  • The ability to put effective intervention in place for under achieving students.
  • An understanding of the qualities of a successful scheme of work and the key principles of assessment.
  • The ability to coach and mentor other members offaculty and teachers.
  • An ability to forge good working relationships with staff and students.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current developments in English teaching and of relevant wider educational issues.

MATHEMATICS TEACHER

 
Minimum Qualification
  • B.Ed in relevant discipline and as applicable.
  • Post Graduate Diploma/IGCSE Certification for both positions.
  • Ability to teach Physics, Biology and other science subjects.
Minimum Experience
  • A minimum of five years post qualification experience in a British National Curriculum school is required.
  • Applicant must possess the ability to engage and motivate students at all levels.
  • Classroom management must be strong, accompanied with a sound knowledge of the British National Curriculum.
  • Applicant must be skillful at lesson planning, presentation and assessment.
  • A good work ethic is essential.

SCIENCE TEACHER

 
Minimum Qualification
  • B.Ed in relevant discipline and as applicable.

Requirements
  • First Degree in Education
  • Minimum of three years' experience as an Assistant Teacher in An English National Curriculum school.
  • Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.

PROJECT COORDINATOR/FACILITIES MANAGER

 
Requirements
  • 1st Degree and or Masters in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project management or Facility management
  • 7- 10 years working experience in a related environment.
  • Professional membership of RIBA, NIA, NIQs, Niob, Facilities management, FIMA.
  • Sound knowledge of Engineering Design and drafting using Autocad, Microsoft Project, facilities software.
